FDA-approved, the world’s first therapeutic game: Endeavor RX
SAN FRANCISCO: The Food and Drug Authority (FDA) has approved a video game to treat ADHD, a common dementia disorder in children.
Attention Deficit Hyperactive Disorder (ADHD) is a condition that often affects children. These children do not leave China, their reading or work concentration is impaired, and they cannot do different things. Sometimes it becomes a source of joy for the parents.
Now, former Facebook executive Chamat Palia Patia has teamed up with Akili Interactive to create a game called Endeavor X in 2020, which was designed to alleviate this condition in children. About a thousand doctors found the game useful and it has now been approved by the FDA on a commercial scale.
After that, a game is being developed to eliminate ADHD in adults. The game against autism is also being considered. Endeavor X features a variety of cartoon characters made for children between the ages of 8 and 12.
In it the child has to go through stages with a cartoon character. During this time, the pictures and different sounds on the screen attract attention, but the child continues to move forward by playing games. In this way, the child’s attention is improved and its effect on normal life is also visible.
