Simple diet and daily exercise can prevent many diseases, say medical experts
The Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Center organized the 8th National Diabetes Symposium 2021 on the occasion of World Diabetes Day.
At the 8th National Diabetes Symposium 2021, health experts highlighted the causes of diabetes in the current era, its prevention, treatment, and the causes of the psychological and mental stress caused by diabetes. Pakistan ranks third in the world in cases.
Acting Vice Chancellor of Jinnah Sindh Medical University and Executive Director of JPMC, Prof. Dr. Shahid Rasool thanked the Symposium for organizing the symposium and the health professionals for their valuable time and said that the prevalence of diabetes in Pakistan is alarming. To prevent this spread, the public needs to pay close attention to the views of health professionals.
Dr. Ijaz Vohra, Professor of Medicine, Zia-ud-Din University, emphasized the importance of glycemic control and said that every person should be screened for diabetes at the age of 40. Prof. Dr. Qaiser Jamal, Professor of Medicine, spoke on “Lifestyle Management”. “Diabetes is spreading at an alarming rate. The United States is at the top of the list in the spread of diabetes, China is at the second position. To avoid diabetes, we should start the day with a healthy breakfast,” he said.
