World record for driving one mile in reverse in the shortest time
Kentucky: A driver in America broke the Guinness World Record by driving a Corvette in reverse for a mile.
Scott Brunner of the US state of Kentucky made this record by driving a reverse car to cover a distance of one mile in the shortest time. The record was set by the driver at the National Corvette Museum’s NCM Motorsport Park.
Scott Brunner, who tests the reverse driving capabilities of various vehicles on his YouTube channel Always In Reverse, chose the 2017 Corvette to set the record.
He drove a mile in reverse in 75.18 seconds, breaking the previous record of 97.02 seconds.
He said that he decided to achieve this record after he realized that he had already unconfirmedly broken the previous record.
He said that it took him almost two years to ensure all the requirements of the Guinness World Records in his endeavor.
